Myriad's quarterly media update.
This spring is the season of culture across multiple Myriad client destinations! The island nation of Dominica will celebrate the 10th annual Jazz n’ Creole Festival May 3–5, and both Kyoto and Kinosaki are celebrating the Aoi Matsuri Festival and Tanto Tulip Festival, respectively. Looking ahead, Papua New Guinea welcomes visitors to experience the many diverse cultures of the nation from July through November at “sing sings,” where tribes from all over come together to celebrate with traditional song, dance and dress.
Samoa will host the Samoa International Game Fishing Association (SIGFA) International Tournament from April 26–May 5. The tournament is open to anglers of all ages and provides the perfect opportunity to spend a week in the beautiful paradise island of Samoa.

- Myriad recently began working with Shizuoka, Japan. The region is known best for its top-notch green tea and wasabi production, relaxing hot springs and traditional ryokans, as well as epic views of Mount Fuji.
- Doha, Qatar recently opened The Mandarin Oriental hotel, the first of the brand to open in the region. With luxurious five-star amenities, unsurpassed hospitality and large-scale sustainability components, this property is a delight for locals and tourists alike. Visitors to Doha can also now visit the long-awaited National Museum of Qatar, which boasts beautiful odes to Qatar’s past, present and future.
- In addition to celebrating Jazz and Creole, Dominica is also welcoming a 60-villa wellness boutique resort called Jungle Bay Eco Villas. Opening in June, the resort will include residences overlooking the Caribbean Sea, adventure fitness boot camps and yoga retreats as well as a luxurious, rustic environment.
